8 Sept 2026 - One Year Work Anniversary

It’s funny how one year can feel so short, yet when I look back, it feels like I’ve lived through so many different versions of myself.

A year ago, I walked into this place not knowing what this chapter would look like. I had expectations, but I also had doubts. I wondered whether I would fit in, whether I would be good enough, and whether I could handle everything that would come my way.

And now, here I am.

One year later, I’ve learned so much, not just about work, but about myself.

I learned that I can handle things I once thought were beyond me. I learned that not every day has to be a good day. I learned that making mistakes doesn’t mean I’m failing. Sometimes, it simply means I’m learning.

There were moments I felt proud of myself. There were also moments I felt tired, frustrated, overwhelmed, and questioned whether I was doing enough.

But somehow, I kept going.

I kept showing up.

And I think that’s what I’m most proud of.

I’m grateful for every person who has been part of this first year, the ones who guided me, supported me, trusted me, challenged me, made me laugh, listened to me, and even the ones who taught me important lessons through difficult moments.

Not everything went the way I imagined it would.

But maybe that’s the beauty of it.

Because if everything had gone according to plan, I probably wouldn’t have grown the way I did.

And if I’m being completely honest, I have a hope for this chapter that I don’t always say out loud.

I hope I get to stay.

I hope this position becomes more than just a job for me. I hope I can continue growing here, contributing, learning, and giving my best for many more years.

If life allows it, I would love for this to be the place where I build a long career, create meaningful memories, grow alongside good people...

But I also know that some things are simply not within my control.

I can’t control what the future holds.
I can’t control every decision that will be made.
I can’t control how long this chapter will last.

What I can control is how I show up today.

So for now, I’ll keep learning.
I’ll keep giving my best.
I’ll keep growing.
And I’ll keep hoping.

One year later, I’m not the same person who walked through the door.

I’m a little stronger.
A little braver.
A little wiser.
And hopefully, a little kinder to myself.

One year down. 🤍

Thank you to this chapter for everything it has taught me. And to the girl who started this journey one year ago,

I hope you know, you’re doing better than you think.

Here’s to another year, and hopefully… many, many more. ✨
