Learning to Be Present in a Season That Won’t Last Forever

Lately, I’ve been sitting with a quiet reminder:

Not every season in life is meant to be permanent.

And somehow, instead of feeling rushed or pressured,it made me pause… and look at my days a little differently.

As a working mom, life often feels like a continuous cycle, deadlines, responsibilities, routines, and expectations. We move from one task to another, one week to the next, without really asking ourselves how we feel in the process.

But recently, I found myself feeling… tired.

Not the kind of tired that sleep can fix but the kind that comes from carrying many roles at once. And instead of pushing that feeling away, I started asking myself a different question:

“What if I just slow down and be present in this season?”

Finding Meaning in the Middle, Not Just the Outcome

We often attach meaning to big milestones, a promotion, a new job, a fresh start.

But what about the in-between?

The ordinary days.
The familiar routines.
The moments that don’t feel exciting, but quietly shape us.

I’m learning that these are the spaces where growth really happens.

Not loudly.
Not dramatically.
But consistently.

Choosing to Still Give, Even When Energy Feels Low

There are days when it’s tempting to just do the minimum. To go through the motions and wait for the next chapter. But deep down, I know I don’t want to live that way.

So I’ve been reminding myself:

To still show up with intention.
To still contribute where I can.
To still take pride in the work I do even on quieter days.

Not because everything is perfect but because who I become in this process matters more.

Growth Doesn’t Always Feel Exciting

Sometimes growth looks like staying consistent when no one notices, learning things slowly, without immediate reward, choosing patience over frustration and doing your best, even when you feel stretched

And maybe that’s okay.

Maybe not every season is meant to feel exciting. Some are simply meant to build us quietly.

For the Working Moms Who Feel the Same

If you’ve been feeling a little tired lately or just going through your days on autopilot…

You’re not alone.

And maybe this is just a gentle reminder, not a push, not pressure:

You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t have to feel “on fire” all the time.

But you can still be present, keep learning, give what you can and move through this season with intention.

A Quiet Decision

These days, I’m not rushing to the next chapter.

I’m choosing to: slow down, appreciate where I am, and continue growing quietly.

Because even seasons that feel ordinary, often carry the lessons we’ll need for what’s next.

And maybe… that’s more than enough. 💛
